Antique FARIES Bronze Articulated Desk Table Lamp Light Pre-1910 Works GREAT
Decatur, IL fully functional American vintage/antique articulated double-jointed desk or table lamp. In the Faries' Normandy bronze plated finish.
Not cleaned or polished, original patina with generally uniform coloration overall. Exact patent date is unknown, even after researching. Includes original parabolic rolled rimmed shade/reflector.Inside the shade are flecks of paint. The socket and paddle switch are original, and the switch has an F on it. The twisted fabric covered cord and plug are excellent, and were professionally replaced. The cord is a very generous 94 long. It is adjustable from two points using 2 wing nuts at each friction joint for moving the tubular lamp pipes to different angles. The round base is weighted and rather heavy, appears to be cast iron. There are some dimples in the surface at the edge.
