HERE I HAVE A LOVELY OLD VINTAGE DORMAN SMITH TRAFILAMP AS SHOWN. I BELIEVE THAT THIS COULD BE CIRCA 1970'S. IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. THESE WERE THE FIRST BATTERY ROAD LAMPS IN THE UK, FROM AROUND 1966 TO 1983 WHEN THE NEW MODEL WAS INTRODUCED... THEY WERE A COMMON SIGHT AT ROAD WORKS, BUT YOU DON'T SEE THEM BEING USED HERE ANYMORE.
THIS IS A NICE COLLECTORS PIECE THAT WILL GO UP IN VALUE AND THEY ARE BECOMING RARE AND SOUGHT AFTER. THE ITEM IS IN USED VINTAGE CONDITION HAS NOT BEEN TESTED AND THERE ARE SOME AGE RELATED MARKS AND WEAR AND TEAR. MEASURES - APPROX - H35 CM - BASE 8 X 17 CM.
